In many cases HPV is symptomless, so this home test is a screening and prevention method that should ideally be made every three years. Similar to the pap smear, this test checks if you are at risk of developing cervical cancer because of HPV (the most common cause). This molecular home test checks for the presence of 49 types of HPV, and identifies the high-risk strains which can lead to cervical cancer.

To take your sample you will use a soft flexible swab, which you insert 5cm (which is about half the size of your index finger) into the vaginal opening. You gently rub the swab against the walls of your vagina by turning it around for about 30 seconds and you’re done!
